Eight Disciplines Report​

This report is designed to monitor and track quality-related issues using the Eight Disciplines (8D) methodology. It helps the Production and Quality teams follow up on problems, corrective actions, and milestone deadlines.

1.1 Search for Eight Disciplines Report​

Step 1: Access the Report Section

  • Navigate to the main left-side menu
  • Go to Production & Quality β†’ Reports β†’ Eight Disciplines Report
  • This opens the search filter screen

Step 2: Apply Search Filters

The following fields are available:

  • Eight Discipline Date From / To: Date pickers to define the reporting period
  • Customer: Dropdown to select the customer involved
  • Plant: Dropdown to specify the plant or operational unit
  • Reported At: Dropdown to choose the reporting source or department
  • Search Button: Executes the filters and displays matching reports
  • Clear Button: Resets all filters to default values

Step 3: Generate the Report

  • Click Search to fetch the reports within the selected criteria
  • Click Clear to reset the filters

1.2 View Report Results​

After clicking Search, the results appear in a tabular format.

CustomerName of the customer associated with the issue
PartDisplays the part number and part description related to the issue.
Problem TitleTitle or brief description of the reported problem
Report DateDate when the issue was reported
Reported AtLocation or department where the issue was identified
1D (1-Day)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 1 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.
2D (1-Day)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 2 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.
3D (3-Days)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 3 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.
4D (7-Days)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 4 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.
5D (7-Days)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 5 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.
6D (30-Days)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 6 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.
7D (30-Days)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 7 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.
8D (30-Days)Displays the target due date for completing Discipline 8 based on the configured due days from the Report Date, along with the pending days status.

Additional Search Option:
A Search field (top-right) allows filtering results by keyword (e.g., Customer, Problem Title).

Note:

  • Red Colour indicates that the due date has been crossed and the respective D is still not closed.
  • Yellow Colour indicates that the respective D was closed after the due date was completed.
  • Green Colour indicates that the respective D was closed within the due date.

1.3 Export and Print Options​

At the top of the results table, the following export features are available:

  • Excel: Export the report into an Excel file (columns retained as displayed)
  • Print: Generate a print-friendly version of the report

Notes​

  • Ensure accurate date selection to avoid missing relevant reports
  • Dropdowns may be dynamically populated based on system configuration
  • Exported Excel files retain the same column structure as the on-screen table
  • Printed reports reflect the filtered data view
